Quiz of one old tale

The king had daughter - the princess Zorenka. It was the marriage time for Zorenka. And soon there were the first three grooms came to the king residence. The prince Pereyaslav was the most beautiful from him. But the king had been the prophetic message that he should lost the kingdom when his daughter will have marriage. And the artful king determined such test for all bridegrooms: to take chance in one terrible lot. "I put two stones to the golden vase, - the king said. - One stone is white, the other is red. Who will take white stone should get princess and a half of the kingdom, but who will take red stone should lost him head!" The suitors didn't know that the king will put two red stones in vase. The first groom lost head. The next day the second suitor lost head too. And Zorenka told Pereyaslav about dad's plan before third day. What do Pereyaslav have to choose for decision? To be refuse from this lottery - to lose the princess , do not be refuse - to lose own life.

Pereyaslav came in and began to take his choice. He let down a hand into the vase, took one stone, which lies unvisible for all in his fist. "I know my choice is right, and I don't want to look at this stone!" - with these words the prince fling the stone to the river.
